Reading Day at the Preschool

Our reading program in the preschool takes place on a monthly basis. Our eleventh-graders come to the preschool and read children’s’ books to the preschoolers. Both age groups truly enjoy interacting with each other while reading children books.

Reading to children is not only fun, it also promotes a range of basic skills that are central to children's development. The German vocabulary is increased, the ability to concentrate for longer periods of time is practiced and the imagination expanded. Listening to stories also encourages creativity.
