Annual Fund Giving Weeks: April 15th through April 26th
It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the start of our GISW Annual Giving Campaign “Giving Weeks,” a two week-period from April 15th through April 26th during which we hope to make significant progress toward reaching our annual fundraising goal of $150,000 to support school development.
This year’s campaign is focused on raising funds for initiatives and programs that champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at our school.
You can personalize your giving and engagement in the campaign by choosing where you will make an impact. Financial contributions to the campaign may be allocated to one or more of seven designated funding areas that reflect what is important to us as a school community.
We encourage you to visit our new pages on the school’s website “Supporting GISW” where you can learn more about the fundraising priorities for each of the seven funds, make your online contribution via our user-friendly payment platform, and track the progress of our campaign.
To help us reach the first $50,000 of our $150,000 fundraising goal by June 30th, our board members have generously pooled their personal resources to offer a matching challenge to our school community. For every $10,000 our school receives in donations, the collective board will contribute another $1,000 to the Annual Giving Campaign (for the first $50,000 raised)! Please consider making a gift now and helping us to meet this challenge. Financial contributions to GISW are accepted via online credit card payment, cash, or check made out to “German School Society.”
In addition, support will be provided by our GISW Advancement Team to those who wish to maximize their personal or family contributions to the campaign by enabling corporate giving & matching programs for companies that employ GISW families. GISW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your financial gift to the school will be tax deductible.
As we collectively embark on a journey towards a more inclusive future, where each student can thrive and bring their unique perspectives to our learning community, we invite you to consider how you can make a difference. Please take a moment during the next two “Giving Weeks” to help advance an area that matters most to you and “join us in being Weltoffen.”
