The Buchladen/Book Account provides the school books from Germany and the U.S. and helps with purchases and sales of used books on commission.
In February, book lists for the next academic school year become available on the website. The needed books can be ordered not later than mid-March (the exact date will be announced each year, please see book ordering).
By end of May, the books can be picked up. They have to be paid in US-$, either with check or cash (no credit cards!). The purchase price is based on the German store price, converted into US$ with the exchange-rate of the purchase in Germany.
We order a few extra copies for new students who arrive after the order deadline and during the school year. Parents of new students should contact us as early as possible to make sure that books are available.
We sell German school supplies as well.
