The German School Washington, DC has become a forerunner in the Washington area with regard to recycling.

 

The German school reached a reduction of its amount of garbage of over 60% in 2005. In June 2008 the school was awarded the environmental award by Montgomery County for the third time in a row. Please click here for the report.
