Substitutes for the Elementary School
The Elementary School of the German School Washington, D.C. is urgently looking for substitutes with First or Second teaching examination or comparable qualifications. For substitutions in our School Entry Level (Kindergarten for five-year-olds) and for supervision until 5:00 p.m. (Aftercare) we are also looking for applicants with professional background such as social pedagogy or preschool teacher education.
The demand for substitutes often arises on short notice for the hours between 7:55 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. or 3:10 respectively or 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
This position requires flexibility and therefore may especially suit an applicant living in the vicinity of the German School or take their child/their children to the school anyway.
We consider applicants with a current US work authorization, as the German School cannot sponsor a visa such as an H1B.
