I moved to Potomac in May 2012 together with my husband and three of my four children. My children go to the Elementary school as well as the upper school of the German School.

Since June I am a member of the arts and crafts group and quickly found many nice new friends. I am very impressed with all the things the Friends do for our school and our children. I am looking forward to this big challenge of being an active part of the Friends.

I am from Basel/Switzerland and studied business management and economics there. My family and I live in Potomac since 2006, my daughter is attending 8th grade at the DSW and my son fifth grade at a different school. What I love about my work for the Friends is our success and all the positive contacts with students, teachers and parents.

I am from Germany and lived and worked in Berlin from 2006 until 2012. My daughter visits the Elementary School and likes it a lot. My wife and I already volunteered for the Friends of our daughter’s elementary school in Berlin and with my work for the Friends here I’d like to improve the learning environment for all the children at the German School.

I am looking forward to the work and the community.

I am a member of the crafts group since several years and since 2010 also a member of the board. My son graduated with the Abitur from the DSW in the summer of 2012 and is now studying in Germany. Among the board I am responsible for the dance classes and the spring ball.

I live in the US since 1962 and was employed at the German School from 1962 until 1968. From 1985 until 1999 I was a member of the Parent-Teacher Association, during which time my son was a student at the DSW until he got his High Schooll Diploma.

Since 1994, I worked with the crafts group of the Friends and I was in charge of the group for 12 years.

I am an honorary member of the Board of the Friends and of the German School Society.
