All children love music. Most of our little ones move, dance and sing all day long. In our Kindergarten we support and foster this love by accompanying various rites with songs: time of arrival, leaving time, birthdays, to name but a few. In addition every group has 30 - 45 minutes of more formal music classes on a fortnightly basis. We learn new songs, mainly in German to aid language acquisition, we dance and play musical coordination- and counting games, we act out songs, sometimes we use simple Orff instruments. We also try to introduce the children to the rich store of traditional German Kinderlieder, while not neglecting seasonal American tunes and songs. And we are rewarded by the children’s' enjoyment of their time in the big music circle.
